Guten Morgan meine Kinder und Freunde

I am trying to type on the church computer again. We came early today as Brent is singing in the choir.  We have our walk down to about 20 minutes now from our apt. to the church.  It is a beautiful morning here in Austria.  The meadow is full of red and purple poppies this morning.  Many of the trees are flowering now and they are beautiful.  There are many different varieties that I haven't seen before.

I can't remember exactly what I typed before so if I repeat something just chalk it up to an older brain.  We had the RS Stake Activity Day in Salzburg as I think I told you before.  It was really fun with lots of classes that we could visit and some service projects we could help with.  I met Sister Hall from Provo, she and her husband are serving Klagenfurt, Austria as the JAE advisors.  I also spent time with Sister Holmstead from Lehi.  She is a distant relative of ours.  We met her in the MTC and saw her every Monday at the temple.  She is serving near Salzburg and has a cute companion from Germany. She was so glad to see me and we had fun talking and taking pictures. I rode with Louise Erlacher who thankfully took me in her car with 4 other sisters.  We had a great day!

On Monday, May 7, we had to buy the groceries for the JAE dinner.  The Hoskins were suppose to be home from Vienna  but were visiting with their daughter in Melk and so phoned us with an urgent message to buy the things for a spaghetti dinner and take it to the chapel and they would meet us there.  We are happy that there was a Billa grocery store about 4 blocks from the chapel.  The bags were heavy with spaghetti, cheese, drink mix, salad stuff, tomato sauce, bread, butter, cookies, etc.  Here they charge you for the bags unless you bring your own.  So everyone carries bags with them when they go to the stores, or they buy a little cart on wheels to take to the store.  The missionaries call them Granny carts, but I am tempted to get us one!

Will write more later, have to go now.
love ya
Mom/TW
